On Saturday, We had some problems connecting to the robot and running the code we had recently made up. After careful screening of the code we made, we found out that one small difference was stopping from the robot to act on the driver’s remote control commands. With the help of our mentors John Morber and Lloyd Emokpae, we figured out the problem and now continue to finish the rest of the code. We also finished creating a basic logic for our shooter that will automatically target one of the four hoops. Our plan for Monday is to create some security for the electronics and belt system. Additionally, we will also be practicing and calibrating the shooter for optimum performance.

Sincerely,
Jogi Patel, Web Assistant

Parkville High Schools robotics team will be attending the annual FIRST Play Date this Saturday, February 18 for making sure that every component on our robot and the programming code works. It will be a fun and exciting learning experience for us all; especially since it will give us a last minute check to see how far the robot has come in order to be ready for competition on March 8, 9, and 10, 2012.

Today we worked on brackets, both for the turret motor and the brackets that will hold the plexiglass up on the sides of the robot. The plexiglass will help support the robot by connecting the four posts and also be decorative with our sponsors and designs on them. We also worked on other parts of the turret motor, and added encoders to the bot.

The rings for the robot have now all been glued one, and we also have the motor brackets made for the bane bots. The turret motor was mounted as well that is going to be geared with the lazy susan and make the shooter rotate. The robot is very nearly done, we mostly have details with the shooter and the arm that will bring the bridge down.
